About Beach Physicians Medical Group

The doctors and medical staff at Beach Physicians Medical Group in Huntington Beach, California welcome patients of all ages. This modern and comfortable practice uniquely combines family and sports medicine to serve the residents of Orange County. Patients receive expert medical care and personalized attention to help them improve and maintain their health and well-being.


Bassil Aish, MD and Arnold J. Brender, MD lead a team of more than 20 clinical and office staff. Together, they provide a comprehensive array of family and sports medicine services, including urgent care, hypertension management, physical therapy, concussion treatment, and innovative therapies like platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections for joint pain and improved recovery after an injury. They also offer physical exams, including annual wellness visits, sports physicals, in-office X-rays, and FAA exams.

 After 40 years at Beach Physicians, I have decided that it is time for me to close this chapter. Many of you have been patients of mine from the start, and it is deeply satisfying to know that the practice will continue after all these years. You will still be seen in the same office, with the same exceptional staff, led by my long-time partner, Dr. Bassil Aish. Bassil Aish, MD

  • He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Berkeley & earned his medical degree for the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences in Washington, DC.
  • Dr. Aish has served as the UCLA team physician and as a US National team physician.
  • Dr. Aish is a two-time Emmy Award winner for his work as the chief medical advisor on the top-rated television program "Sports Science."

Arnold J. Brender, MD

  • Completed his Bachelor’s degree from Union College in Schenectady, New York, Dr. Brender went on to complete his medical degree at New York Medical College in Valhalla. 
  • Dr. Brender is a retired Army flight surgeon.
  • He serves as a physician for the sports teams at Huntington Beach High School, Golden West College, and Orange Coast College.
